These are unprecedented times.
The once-bustling junctions on HuaHai Rd lay deserted. Schools once filled with the laughter of children remain silent.
Yet, hospitals bustle with commotion.
Every day, the victims of the coronavirus seek medical attention in overburdened facilities. Medical equipment is in scarce supply - heartbreaking photos have surfaced of doctors covering themselves in trash bags to protect themselves from the virus. The lack of necessary sanitation instruments facilitated cross-contamination within treatment centers, endangering the lives of healthcare workers as well as other patients.
As the children of today, we are the heirs to the world of tomorrow. Let us fight to ensure we inhabit a world where friends are not afraid to embrace, a world where sanitation is a fundamental human right, a world where we are safe.
Let us fight for a better tomorrow.

Our GoalProvide any much of the needed supplies we can to the Xiaogan No.1 People's Hospital and Jingzhou No.1 People's Hospital in Wuhan. |
First Let'sUnderstand
The Wuhan Coronavirus, beginning as an animal to human spread, has escalated to a human to human spread virus. In just a couple weeks, over 20 countries have been infected with cases of the virus. China suffers the greatest with around 10,000 confirmed cases and over 200 deaths. The virus began in the city, Wuhan, China which has been locked down since January 23rd. Learn more about the virus on the About page and Donate to support this cause.

Then Let'sPlan
Living in Shanghai as international students, we can see the impact of the virus as we are directly affected.
We asked ourselves: how can we address the epidemic at hand as directly as possible with the resources we have? We worked as a group to collaborate, learn, and create solutions. With the help of our partners, The Sustainable Health Organization, a similar group based in Los Angeles and New Zealand, and Xinhua Medical, our supplier (About page), we started conducting a plan. |
Now we must
Change
One step at a time, we hope to alleviate this epidemic that directly affects us and our community.
We strive to spread awareness of this close-to-home epidemic and provide desperately needed supplies to the Xiaogan and Jingzhou No.1 People's Hospital in Wuhan. Help us make changes one step at a time by making a donation: Donate |
